Bring your sweet lovin’ on home to me

Driving with cranky kids in the backseat, ufda. The other night, as I was trying to keep the peace while driving I started singing this song. Astonishingly, everyone settled in and the performance even garnered a, “Sing it again, Mama.” So I sang it 8 more times until we were got home- Mama nerves saved by Sam Cooke.

Song: Bring it on home to me by Sam Cooke

e.o.sleep

Kind: sleepy baby. Bring it on home to me is one of those great songs that work as a great baby snuggling soundtrack, but can also work well in a slow jam sing along.

Why it’s a Tot Rocker: A song you don’t hate singing and they don’t hate hearing- a true sign of a tot rocker. If that isn’t enough evidenceThe Rock and Roll Hall of Fame listed Bring it on home to me as one of the 500 songs that shaped rock and roll.

As a matter of fact, just listen to this song all day long. You won’t go wrong.

Also in the top 500, Mr. Cooke had two more songs: You Send Me and A Change is Gonna Come.

Other Tot Rockers by Sam Cooke: You Send Me (sleepy baby), Sugar Dumpling (awake baby)

Similar Tot Rockers: That’s how strong my love is by Otis Redding, Heard it through the Grapevine by Marvin Gaye

Get to know Sam Cooke. Listen to Bring it on home to me.
